Hello Basketball Parents and Coaches.
REMINDERS:
Please continue to wear masks. The current COVID situation needs all of us to remain vigilant and not let our guard down. All parents and spectators have to wear masks inside the community center and the middle school. All players and coaches should wear masks when they are not on the court.
We have been told that the community center might be closed to basketball activities because the guidelines are not being followed this year.
Let's all do our part to keep the CC open for our boys.
Please DO NOT COME TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER until a few minutes before 6:00pm.
A parent or coach must be there to supervise the boys.
On game nights, the community center staff needs the time to set up chairs, bleachers, etc.
Sometimes there is only one attendant staffed. Kids, parents and coaches need to be patient, respectful, and maybe even help the staff during the current situation.
Our volunteer coaches are doing the best they can to get playing time for everyone and foster camaraderie between the players.
Coaches, the Board would like to thank you again for volunteering and spending your valuable time with the kids. If a parent has any issues we welcome your input and ask that you volunteer as well.
Everyone in the Varsity and JV division should play a minimum of one quarter.
The Freshmen Division is a teaching division and everyone must get equal playing time.
Parental Responsibility
We ask that yo u attend as many of your son's games as possible. Your assistance is required to ensure that the boys are not only taught basketball, but also citizenship, team spirit and good sportsmanship. Ranting and raving from the boys & spectators about officiating will not be tolerated. Finally, The Bench Area is strictly reserved for coaches and players.
